April 1, 2027 is Cemetery Clean Up for the Charles Street Pet Cemetery and Arlington Memorial Park. ALL items will be removed from the gravesites except the shepherd hook. Please remove anything you wish to keep by March 31, 2027. Please wait until cleanup is completed to bring spring florals or Easter decorations. Keeping track of the calendar in relation to Easter and the cleanup date is the responsibilty of the family. If you are not decorating your shepherd hook over the winter, please remove it by October 31. On November 1st, all empty shepherd hooks will be removed.
Revision of the Decorating Guidelines
There has been a revision to the Pet Cemetery Guidelines. Arlington Memorial Park, our landlord, requested the revision in order to keep our guidelines in line with theirs. The key change is to the shepherd policy. If you are not going to decorate your shepherd hook over the winter, please remove it by October 31st. On November 1st, all empty shepherd hooks will be removed. You may bring your shepherd hook back after the April 1st Spring Cleanup. Also, all items on the gravesite and shepherd hooks will be removed during Spring Cleanup. It is the family's responsibility to keep track of the calendar with Easter and Spring Cleanup. No exceptions. Current guidelines are on the website, posted at the front door of the cemetery office, available upon request from the office, and occasionally announced on Facebook.
